Cocoa was found in a parking lot in Nashville by one of our fosters. She was undernourished and skittish.

Ready to put on a little more weight

What a difference two weeks makes! She is one of the most loving dogs we have ever seen both with people and the other dogs in her foster family. She weighs 50 lbs and is heart worm negative. She has been spayed, wormed, given her parvo/distemper booster, and rabies vaccine. She rides well in a car and is getting better on a leash. Cocoa is around 2 years old and would make a great first pet for a family.

If you have any doubts about an American Shaffordshire Terrier, watch Pit Bulls and Parolees. These loving dogs were labeled nanny dogs in the Victorian era because of their loyalty and gentleness with children. They are not fighters unless made so by unscrupulous people.

Cocoa escaped that fate and will make a great addition to your family
