Boots…A Happy Tail

Boots…A Happy Tail

Before being taken into our rescue, Boots would have been considered a feral dog since he had never been touched by human hands. It took us 6 weeks, lots of chicken wire, sedatives, and the help of kind people who had been leaving food for him to finally catch Boots.

We kept Boots from the end of February 2017 until the first of June before putting him on the adoption sites we use in order to help him to get over his fear of people.   In September, after a few visits and walks with Barbara and Shiloh,  Boots went to his forever home.  Thanks to the knowledge and patience of Barbara and Jack, Hopi ( Boots’ forever name) has settled in beautifully….even making a trip to Nashville for an ice cream treat at a sidewalk cafe.

Belle & Elsa….A Happy Tail

Belle & Elsa….A Happy Tail

     Belle

     Elsa

Probably our most favorite Happy Tail is when one of our fostering families decides to keep the animal they are fostering.  That is what happened with Belle and Elsa..two little girls from the same litter.  They are now romping around with 4 other cats, a dog, a rabbit, chickens, ducks, and three wonderful kids.  They are quite well traveled too since they recently returned from a family vacation to WI.

Do you think they have won over Dad too?

Milo…..A Happy Tail

Milo…..A Happy Tail

Milo has found his forever home with a teacher and has moved to Clarksville, TN.   We wonder who will teach who a thing or two?  Milo’s new mom says he is “very active” and she is considering adopting a buddy to keep him company.   I am sure Milo would love to have a partner in crime!   Much love from us, Milo and Taylor.

A Happy Tail…Alice

A Happy Tail…Alice

Alice has found her forever home in Murfreesboro complete with a couple of two legged friends and a calico feline buddy.  She’s expecting a lot of music in her life since one wall in the living room is covered with electric guitars and she may even make her own music on a big bass fiddle that stands in the corner.  Her new family has already taken her on outings to Pet Smart and a doggie bakery.  Alice is having fun pestering her cat sister which usually leads to a nap with her best buddy.

A Happy Tail….Bella

A Happy Tail….Bella

Bella happily tugged her foster mom up the steps to her new home in East Nashville, checked out her water bowl, sniffed around the back yard, kissed her new two legged girl friend and played tug of war with her new two legged male friend…all within 20 minutes of getting out of the van.  She is already entertaining visitors and going for long walks. We are always thankful for such an easy transition.

Many happy years, Bella!!!

Getting to know all about you.

A Happy Tail……Olie

A Happy Tail……Olie

Olie has found a wonderful home with 4 new friends…..Caitlyn and Melinda and canine friends Lou and Rey.   Olie’s new moms are willing to take a dive behind the fridge for him, Lou just lets him be, and Rey’s tail looks awfully tempting.

Happy Tail…Beauregard

Happy Tail…Beauregard

Beauregard, now Marshall, found a wonderful family in Clarksville and made himself right at home from the moment he walked through the door.

From his family:

Beau (we call him Marshall now) has been doing so well! He recognizes and answers to his new name and has been quite a cuddle bug since we got him. He and Lily have been wrestling and running and chewing together a lot. They’ve been doing A LOT better together since you last saw them together. Lily even allows Marshall to sleep on her from time to time. Marshall has been working a lot on some new commands (lay down, sit, go to bed) and has been doing pretty well. We’ve also been able to work him down to bringing us only one shoe every once in awhile instead of always having our shoes in his mouth! He loves running with Lily in the yard and we hope that once it warms up and dries out, we can take the two out for walks on the Greenway and around our neighborhood 🙂 We’re so happy that we took Marshall into our home 🙂 he’s been a great friend for Lily to have and a great companion for us as well.

The first picture is from take your dog to work day.

A Happy Tail…..Olaf

A Happy Tail…..Olaf

Olaf was abandoned in an attic when a breeder of Persian cats moved. Rescued by Tony and I Could Have Been Adopted and adopted this week by a wonderful family in Nashville area. Olaf is now pestering his two new canine brothers and loves to hide under Sandra’s long skirts!!

A Happy Tail….Sweetie

A Happy Tail….Sweetie

Sweetie has found a wonderful home with Elizabeth in the Nashville, TN area.

A sunny window where she can watch the comings and goings and a big big mirror in the dining room where she can check out who is the fairest of them all.  Best of all she is just the right companion to keep her new mom company.  Tummy rubs from us, Sweetie!!
