A Happy Tail…..Buddy

A Happy Tail…..Buddy

Buddy’s new family waited for almost two weeks before we could get Buddy to them because of surgery he had before Christmas 2015. Buddy was born with a double set of dew claws on one foot and three on the other foot and I Could Have Been Adopted was concerned that he could injure himself, another dog, or the little boy in his new family. Buddy_those_eyes

Buddy is now in a loving family who have taken over his care while he is in his last stages of recuperating. IMG_1236.JPG It includes three adults, a teen, an eight year old, and a new 4 legged companion named Charlie. According to them Buddy has a great loving personality and is romping with Charlie in the yard but just tolerated by him in the house.   Mom reports it is getting better each day. Us first born children can appreciate Charlie’s attitude….my baby brother accidentally fell off the bed while I was using it as a trampoline…oops!

Once animals are  rescued by ICHBA, they are completely vetted to make sure they are as healthy as possible both physically and emotionally before going to a forever home.  Our average cost to vet each animal is $162.00 while our 2016 re homing fee is $90.00.  We are truly a non profit that could not exist without the commitment of our wonderful fostering families who provide love, shelter, and food or without the donations made to us by businesses and individuals both in our community and beyond.  I am so grateful…Donna
